One way of having a positive sleeping environment is by choosing chemical-free bedding from Satara Home & Baby. Getting a good night’s sleep is equally important as eating nutritious food. Apart from watching what you eat, you also have to make sure that you get eight hours of sleep every day by using bedding that is safe for you and your family.
Due to the fast-paced nature of modern life, we sometimes forget that sleeping is a very important activity in keeping our bodies in optimal shape. We pay little or no attention to our sleeping environments, and can sometimes have no memory of the bedding that we use. This is a common occurrence despite the fact that we spend a third of our lives on our bedroom furniture to rest and get some shut-eye.
Chemical-free bedding is produced without being treated with potentially toxic chemicals or going through processes that use a variety of toxin-ridden products.
You might be getting an adequate amount of sleep regularly, but what you probably do not realize is that your linens are doing you more harm than you think. You might ask about your linens, “What’s wrong with them?” To put it simply: for eight hours or so while you sleep, you breathe in the fumes of the chemicals that were used in processing your sheets and pillows. You might not see or feel the difference, but think about the cumulative effects that years of inhaling these substances have on your body and health. This is the reason why chemical-free bedding is now in the spotlight.
The process of making conventional bedding involves the use of various chemicals and agents. These are used to dye the fabric, make it fire-retardant, and ensure that it is wrinkle-free. Even the cotton that is used in traditional bedding is sprayed with tons of pesticides and herbicides during its cultivation period.
Chemical-free bedding, on the other hand, is an alternative made using sustainable and non-toxic materials. Organically grown cotton and other alternative materials such as wool, kapok, and latex are sourced from reputable suppliers. No pesticide, synthetic fertilizer, or any other chemical is used throughout the growth process. In addition, the natural fibers of chemical-free bedding are treated and finished using only natural methods, such as bleaching with eco dyes.
Transforming your bedroom furniture into a natural sleeping environment through the use of chemical-free bedding has many benefits, namely:
